Abstract

The Grandview Institution was founded by Mr. REN Libo (President), former chief correspondent of Xinhua News Agency in Pyongyang. In 2013, Chairman Xi Jinping first proposed the goal of building a “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics.” This is the clearest and richest instruction on the construction of think tanks ever given by a top central leader. The momentum of Chinese think tanks has thus been “bursting forth.” In May of that year, the Grandview Institution was born at last.
